Scalloped Baby Blanket #2

I finished this baby blanket from Bend the Rules Sewing a couple of weeks ago, but I kept waiting to post it until I could take a better picture. I give up. We can't seem to get more than 20 consecutive minutes of sunshine these days and when we do get those 20 minutes I'm rushing outside to walk the dogs or do some weeding, not posing a photo shoot. So....here are the crappy "flash-y" pictures.

I think the blanket is cuter than it appears in these pictures. I don't usually like toille fabrics but I do like kids on tricycles/bicycles and so I chose this print to go with the alphabet print on the other side. I hand quilted this baby blanket since I didn't like the machine quilting on the first one I made. It's been a long time since I've hand quilted anything and it sure looks like it.....my stitches look like a second grader's :)

I like it a lot and hand stitching makes it special and unique...who cares about itty bitty stitches.

The prints are pretty, both sides of the blanket. If the color is true on the computer, the brown and blue is nest and modern for you yong modern women.

Dear me, I forgot to check spelling in the previous post. At least I have the sense to know that I made mistakes.

Deb - what a beautiful creation! I love the fabrics you chose - that chocolate and robin's egg blue go so wonderfully together. Great job on the scalloping and the stitching. It's full of your time and love!

Hello Deb! Thanks for visiting and commenting so I could come visit you! This quilt is gorgeous! You've made so many delicious ones but this is my favorite. So many beautiful things here - those freezer paper stenciled pieces and the cycling cap and the fleece hats - really, really nice!
