Work in Progress: Sandbox Painting

Here's a little painting I was working on over Martin Luther King weekend. It's based off of a photo of my niece, Kalvary, playing in her sandbox this summer. I think the composition is ok but I have not succeeded with getting her face to look "right" yet. I may just have to leave it that way and be ok with it since everytime I try to go in and rework things I seem to muddy it up. Or, maybe I'll just let it dry for a couple of days and then try to put another layer over the face.
