Inspiration: Madeleine L'Engle

My beloved Miss Madeleine passed on this week. I consider her an inspiration even though I'll never be a writer. She inspires the way I hope to live my life--with grace, a sense of humor, curiousity, and an abiding faith.

"Infinity is present in each part.
A loving smile contains all art.
The motes of starlight spark and dart.
A grain of sand holds power and might."

Madeleine L'Engle joins the starlight spark.

You're still there? Is school keeping you extra busy?

I loved her too. I got to meet her at Goshen College where she signed my hardback copy of a Wrinkle In Time that I had when I was a girl.

oh- me too. It sounds like we have a lot in common. I spent many hours reading her books as a young girl and revisiting them as an adult. I hope my daughter loves her as much as I. I met her one day at my high school. They had her come speak. We sat in the round in the library. There were just a handful of us and it was such a cool, intimate moment in my life that I will never forget.
