Crib Quilt, Part IV (Finished)

Ok, so this quilt has now been finished for well over a month, but I kept waiting for a sunny day to take a good picture of it outside. And I am now going to admit that I am never going to remember to take my quilt out and photograph it in the sunlight because: a.) sunny days are rare, b.) sunny days that I have off from work are even more rare and c.) if it's sunny and I'm not at work, you can be sure that we are out playing and gardening and enjoying Portland. But not blogging this crib quilt was blocking my blogging mojo...how can I go on to blog other creative endeavors and leave this one unfinished?!

So, here's my poorly lit photo of my crib quilt. It did turn out rather well I think, and I am quite pleased.

There! I did it! I hope that unblocks both my creative block and my blogging block.

P.S. If you read this, please say hello in the comments. I like to know you're here!

I'm here :) and happy to see your beautiful quilt! I've been blogging blocked lately too, I have heaps of things that I need to photograph and blog so I can move forward, instead I'm posting random posts that hardly make sense lol, 'nuff about me, Have I mentioned how beautiful that quilt is? ;)

Hi Deb, we've never met, but I found your blog through our mutual Domestic Goddess friend from Belmont some time ago. I appreciate your crafty, yet pared-down, sense of design and your approach to life in general. I hope you continue creating things and documenting your world in photographs.

You already know I'm here, but I'm wondering if you know about picasa? It's a free photo editing google product with an "I'm feeling lucky button" which fixes nearly any lighting issue in seconds. I've found it to be very color true and easy to use. Just thought I'd throw that out there in case you get sun blocked again sometime. :)

The quilt it lovely, and I have most of those same fabrics waiting to be quilted into a big girl quilt for my own bed. I hope to tackle that this summer.

That quilt turned out terrific. Lighting here has been tough with all the rainy spring days--but the rain is good for the flowers--so I'm not complaining!

I'm here! And nice job on the quilt. Any project I complete with kidlets around is considered a BIG DEAL in my house. And I totally get the blogging mojo--my brain can handled about one big thing at a time. And life doesn't generally work so nice and orderly like that. :)

Beautiful!!!! You're so creative! I am looking for a sewing machine - it seems like an important piece of machinery for a mom! Do you have any suggestions as far as brand? I know Singer is the household name...but would love your opinion! :)

Also! I love your crib! Such a nice clean style! We can't get the one we ordered anymore because the factory burned down (random)!

I'm here, Deb!! The quilt looks amazing and your little girl (I check her out on the other blog) is such a cutie pie. I enjoy this way of keeping in touch with you. I know life is busy, and I appreciate the time you take to let the rest of us in on your creativity.
